Program Intern (Paid Position)

 

Propulsion is expanding the team!

We are looking for recent graduates and graduate students interested in gaining first-hand experience working on Propulsion’s programs and projects.

The selected candidate will be assisting the Program Director and Program Officers in managing a complex set of activities.

CANDIDATE DESCRIPTION
  • – You are a current university student (or recent graduate) of social and political sciences, media, communication, or similar fields;
  • – You have a desire to learn about and develop key skills in the field of program management, media, and digital literacy, and communications;
  • – You have strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills;
  • – You are a team player and problem solver;
  • – You are able to critically think, plan, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in an organized way;
  • – You are technology savvy; ability to think outside the box and come up with innovative and creative solutions;
  • – You have advanced drafting, editing, and presentation skills;
  • – You are proficient in using G-Suite (particularly Google Sheet);
  • – You are fluent in Serbian and English.
RESPONSABILITIES AND CONDITIONS
  • – Three months internship with flexible part-time (20) hours a week remotely and/or at Propulsion offices in Belgrade;
  • – Assisting Program Manager and Program Officer in implementing program activities;
  • – Collecting inputs and data from stakeholders and program sub-contractors, analyzing data, and reporting on program implementation and campaigns outcome and output indicators;
  • – Under the supervision of Art Director and Content Manager, maintain outreach through social media platforms;
  • – Assisting in the organization of program events and other activities as per program annual work plan;
  • – Perform other tasks as assigned.

Propulsion is LOOKING for a qualified web developer for the provision of web programming services. The web developer will provide web development services for active Propulsion’s programs and make sure that web portals under Propulsion’s administration are fully functional and maintained.

Propulsion is a communication organization specializing in innovative socially engaged campaigns and projects that address a wide range of topics, from critical thinking and problem solving, through media and digital literacy, to preventing radicalizing narratives, as well as other key communication skills needed to navigate the world which is constantly changing.

The Propulsion business model practices modern digital solutions and ideas. We seek the services of a web developer who utilizes modern digital solutions in web programming, follows the prescribed standards for website optimization and instructions of the Propulsion program and creative team.

Expected specific assignment
  • – Back- and Front-end web development with a focus on clarity, functionality, ease of use, the possibility of later expansion, modification, and optimization;
  • – Design and development of web architecture and web components, plug-ins, and adds-on optimization;
  • – Conceptualization and development of new features, visual identity, and website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices;
  • – Implement SEO optimization in accordance with the engine’s prescribed standards.
Qualifications
  • – Three or more years of experience in web development – a portfolio of projects;
  • – Extensive knowledge of HTML5 i CSS3;
  • – Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, Javascript;
  • – Willingness to implement ideas and projects in a short period of time.
