Connected and Protected

Communication Services

Implemented with the support of the Council of Europe and in partnership with Makerspace Garage, Connected and Protected strengthened local capacities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to recognise, prevent and respond to digital gender-based violence, with a particular focus on girls and young women.

Propulsion combined capacity building with youth-led co-creation. An online educational session brought together professionals, institutions and civil society, while a two-day workshop in Mostar engaged young people in developing practical communication tools on digital safety and gender equality. In total, 71 participants took part, including 42 young people and representatives of 16 institutions and 13 civil society organisations and practitioners.

The project turned this learning into reusable videos, animations, social media content and a digital workbook. Its communication campaign generated more than 186,000 views, reached over 100,000 people and recorded almost 1,600 engagements, extending the project’s messages well beyond its direct participants
